Letter to parents

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the first update from our Upper Secondary B2.1 class! I’m excited to share what we’ve been working on as the students get settled into the new term and our current magazine, “The Secret To Success.”

So far, we’ve explored the concept of grit and discussed various viewpoints on what qualities can lead to personal success. The students have been expanding their vocabulary related to the topic, including words like determination, perseverance, and effort, and sharing their own opinions about what is important for achieving success.

They’ve also practiced expressing opinions clearly in both discussions and writing, and have developed their skills in understanding different perspectives and using language to explain contrast, purpose, and reason. In addition, they have started collaborating on group projects, like planning a presentation on learning techniques.

Please encourage your child to make use of the Learning Hub for additional practice and activities related to what we’re covering in class. It’s a valuable tool for reinforcing what they’ve learned. I’ll continue to keep you updated on our progress as we dive deeper into the magazine.

Thank you for your support, and I look forward to a great term ahead!

Kind Regards,
Bart
